Elizabeth House, Chelmsford
We were retained by property company Mantle Estates to identify and acquire a freehold office building in central Chelmsford, suitable for improvement and for letting and for use as a business centre offering serviced office space.
Elizabeth House was identified as being such a building and we approached the Fund who owned the property and agreed terms to buy it off market. We negotiated the surrender of the lease and assisted in the design and refurbishment of common areas, including the installation of a new central core, entrance and stairwell.
Following completion of the work we were pleased that within 3 months we had let two floors on the open market and mantle took the rest of the space for their business centre operation.
